When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going!

There is really no excuse for letting a little grad school get in the way! In fact, the MSSTC program at UT has been quiet an inspiration and worthy of writing about.

So far, the course has been mostly writing and reading, thus the hiatus from blogging. To update, we finished the first semester. The overarching theme of the program is bringing new products and technologies to market; whether it be from federal labs, universities or private inventors. Coursework for Term 1 was "Creating Wealth from Technology", "Finance and Accounting", "Technology Transfer" and "Marketing Technological Innovations".

We evaluated four real technologies for the semester and will "carry forward" one to prepare a business plan, financial plan and pitch to angel investors or venture capitalists.

The technology we'll be carrying forward is called "Plant Genius" and is a little invention of my own. More on that subject later...
